SLEEP
7-23-1995
Oh sleep, that wonderful thing,
where one man's nightmare is another man's dream.
Take me, Morpheus, to the land of nod,
Where one man's evil is another man's God.
Twisting
Turning
Shivering
Burning
To wake, one hopes, in the morning, in bed,
Where one man's dreams are another man's dread.
Now I lay me down to bed,
Images of monsters they fill my head.
If I should fail to keep them away,
I'll wake up screaming at God, that there will be hell to pay.
